It's all in the process

I've been meaning to share this painting progression for a while now.
I painted this for my younger brother who's attending Mississippi State and he's a HUGE fan. So for Christmas I did this bulldog for him (it's his school's mascot). It surprised me how relatively easy this was from start to finish. Took me only a few days. I have to admit it was nice to get into acrylic after using watercolors for so long. Well here it is!

Laying in some darks

I decided to add MSU's colors maroon and white in the background

Done! The finished piece!

That's all for now, but I'm working on a couple projects now and hopefully I'll be getting those started and have a nice cohesive collection going. I love starting something new!
My problem is finishing it....

I know I'm a bit late but Happy New Year everyone!
I've had the best holdiay with my first Christmas being married and getting to spend new years with my family and friends. This year is already off to a great start :).
I only have time for a quick outfit post seeing as how Justin and I are spending this week visiting my awesome mother-in-law out in California (she lives in Yuba City about 30 minutes away from Sacremento).
We'll be headed to Lake Tahoe this weekend to go snow tubing! I'm super excited about the prospect of seeing real, live snow (and playing in it!). As a southerner snow is basically a miracle that happens once every 8 years or so and it's only a few inches, so as you can imagine REAL snow for me is a very big deal! I can't wait.
