Nude Ruffles

Despite the endless amounts of rain and cold winds that blew, the sun broke out brilliantly yesterday for the first time in over a week. I've found that the weather definitely dictates how I feel and I wonder why I'm so attuned to it with my moods. And while I have enjoyed the dark mornings waking up to the gentle sounds of the drops on my window, seeing the sun lifted my soul somehow.  It was the beginning of a great day spent with good company. I think Sundays could possibly be my favorite day of the week :)

Wore these new nude ruffle-y shoes yesterday and I love them. The color is so soft and feminine unlike anything else, shoe-wise, I own.

I'll end with how I'm ending my night. Drinking a coke and curled up reading this great book :)

Iris in watercolor

Here's what I've been working on lately. I've been sick the past few days and quite driven to boredom being all cooped up so I've been trying to finish this watercolor I started on a week ago. I'm somewhat satisfied with it but I'm always to harsh on my own work.
